James A. Murphy is a founding member
of Murphy, Pearson, Bradley & Feeney.
Mr. Murphy has tried in excess of
50 jury trials to verdict. He is a member of the
American Board of Trial Advocates, the National
Board of Trial Advocates, and is a certified specialist
in legal malpractice by the American Board of
Professional Liability Attorneys. He represents lawyers
sued for malpractice nationwide. Mr. Murphy was a consulant to the
professional malpractice chapters in Bancroft
-Whitney's California Civil Practice, Torts. His
practice includes the representation of judges
in disciplinary proceedings before the California
Commission on Judicial Performance.
In addition to his litigation practice,
Mr. Murphy has negotiated software license agreements
for several software clients. He has also prepared
non-compete and confidentiality agreements, as
well as employment contracts with copyright and
patent assignment clauses.
