Mr. Yuen currently focuses his practice on class action, commercial, construction, insurance, premises liability, products liability, and professional liability litigation matters. He also has previous experience working on intellectual property matters such as copyright, and trademark litigation.

Following graduation, returned to Weiss & Associates as an attorney, practicing in the areas of copyright, personal injury, employment and business litigation matters

Representative Cases

  • Personal injury matter. Counsel for defendant. Along with Simone McCormick, obtained summary judgment based on the court's finding that all of plaintiff's causes of action lacked merit against client.
  • Personal injury matter. Counsel for defendant. The case was dismissed with prejudice after the court granted motion for judgment on the pleadings based on the finding that the client owed no duty to plaintiff.
  • Personal injury matter. Counsel for defendant, as successor trustee of the trust. The Appellate Division affirmed the judgment of nonsuit obtained at trial.
  • Personal injury matter. Counsel for defendant. Successfully petitioned the appellate court to issue an alternative writ directing the superior court to set aside its order allowing plaintiff’s first amended complaint alleging an unrecognized cause of action for gross negligence to be filed. The trial court subsequently complied with the appellate court’s writ resulting in a defense verdict for the client.
  • Commercial litigation dispute. Counsel for defendant. Court granted motions for summary judgment based on the finding that the client owed no duty to plaintiffs.
  • Personal injury matter. Counsel for defendant. Court granted motion for summary judgment based on the finding that the client did not breach its duty, nor was it the legal cause of plaintiff’s harm.
  • Personal injury matter. Counsel for defendant. The appellate court affirmed the trial court’s granting of non-suit due to lack of evidence on causation following jury selection and opening statements.
  • Personal injury matter. Counsel for defendant. The jury returned a verdict in favor of the client after deliberating for one hour.
  • Commercial litigation dispute. Counsel for cross-defendant and cross-complainant. After obtaining an order of non-suit, jury returned a verdict in favor of the client.
