The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed a dismissal secured by Attorney Harlan Watkins in a legal malpractice action brought against court-appointed counsel.

The action arose from the representation of a minor in a custody dispute. Plaintiff, Alanna Krause, alleged court appointed counsel wrongfully interfered with her relationship with her parents. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the Court's ruling in a 3-0 unpublished decision finding that Ms. Acevedo and Diamond, Bennington & Simborg, P.C. were entitled to quasi-judicial immunity. (Krause v. Krause, 9th Cir. No. 03-17151 (2005).)
