An associate based out of Murphy Pearson’s Sacramento office, Douglas’ practice areas include civil litigation and business law.  He has experience in a wide variety of matters including securities fraud, real estate law and insurance. Douglas has handled numerous financial crimes prosecutions from preliminary hearing through jury trial.

Prior to joining the firm, Douglas served as a Deputy District Attorney in El Dorado, assigned to the Special Prosecutions Unit and responsible for the Civil Asset Forfeiture case load.

Douglas earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Criminology and his J.D from McGeorge School of Law with a concentration in business law.

Prior to obtaining his J.D., Douglas worked as a Private Banker for a large commercial bank, is a Certified Fraud Examiner, and holds his FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.
