A litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Murphy Pearson, Joshua’s practice focuses on intellectual property (copyrights and trademarks) and commercial disputes, as well as professional liability litigation. His experience spans across various stages of litigation and arbitration including pre-dispute analysis, factual discovery, expert witness preparation, and motion practice.
Joshua has participated in multi-million dollar civil suits and has counseled institutional clients through pre-litigation financial records inspection demands. He is also active in pro bono veteran and LGBTQ+ matters.
Prior to his career in law, Joshua worked as a licensed merchant mariner in the offshore energy exploration and production industry contributing to complex subsea development projects in India, Singapore, and Brazil. He holds a United States Coast Guard issued license to operate vessels of unlimited tonnage as a Second Mate. He is also credentialed by the London-based Nautical Institute as an unlimited Dynamic Positioning operator.
Joshua maintains a commission as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy (Reserve).
