Thomas, a litigation associate in the Sacramento office of Murphy Pearson, counsels clients in a variety of matters related to professional liability, employment law, and all forms of civil litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Thomas most recently worked at a boutique law firm representing physicians and dentists in malpractice matters, as well as various local casinos in private arbitration. While there, he successfully obtained dismissals of multiple malpractice matters prior to trial due. In addition, he worked with senior counsel on several personal injury arbitration matters, which resulted in favorable outcomes for clients.
Previously, Thomas has worked in a variety of firms practicing estate planning and civil litigation. He especially enjoyed the personal connection gained while working with estate planning clients, as he helped them achieve their financial and planning goals.
In law school, Thomas worked at the Katherine & George Alexander Community Law Center, where he collaborated with other attorneys to provide pro bono advice and representation related to workers’ rights. His legal internships exposed him to a variety of practice areas, including civil litigation, bankruptcy law, and estate planning.
A native Sacramentan, Thomas left the city for a few years to attend school in San Diego and the Bay Area, but ultimately returned to the Sacramento area to start his legal career and family.
When not practicing law, Thomas enjoys hiking, bicycling, floating the American River, and spending time with his wife and daughter. He also enjoys spending time with his rescue dog and cats.
