Madison is an associate practicing out of Murphy Pearson’s San Francisco office. She focuses on a variety of matters including Privacy & Cybersecurity, Litigation, White Collar Defense, and Intellectual Property.
As a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US and CIPP/E) with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), she has vast experience advising clients in matters involving privacy and cyber security law. Specifically, Madison has worked with various technology companies regarding privacy law during and after law school.
After law school, Madison worked in-house at an international financial technology company. There, she translated complex privacy issues related to GLBA, GDPR, CCPA (and other state privacy laws), PDPA, and EU AI Act into actional legal advice, internal use policies, internal employment privacy policies, and external consumer privacy policies. She led the enterprise’s privacy-by-design program and advised business owners and senior leaders on the operationalization of privacy requirements for international expansions, AI adoption, marketing campaigns, and security initiatives.
While in law school, Madison served as a staffer for the University of San Francisco Law Review and for the University of San Francisco Intellectual Property & Technology Law Journal. She also received the Academic Excellence Award, received CALI Awards for numerous classes, was part of the McAuliffe Honors Society, remained in the top 5% each semester, and graduated magna cum laude.
