Matt is an associate based in Murphy Pearson’s Sacramento office. Before joining the firm, Matt served as a legal fellow with the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance and as an associate attorney at a land use and mining law firm, where he handled transactional and regulatory matters on behalf of developers and mining companies.
Matt earned his B.A. in History from Loyola Marymount University and his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, where he focused his studies on environmental law. During law school, Matt served as a research assistant, conducting legal research on environmental and regulatory issues arising in matters involving the Center for Biological Diversity.
