Simran is an associate practicing out of Murphy Pearson’s San Francisco office. She focuses on data privacy and emerging technology matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Simran gained in-house legal experience at companies such as Mercedes-Benz, Everpure, Chegg, and DocuSign. She advised on global privacy compliance matters involving CCPA/CPRA and GDPR, conducted privacy impact assessments, supported AI governance initiatives and commercial transactions for technology companies.
Simran earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, where she received the High Tech Leadership Award and the James A. Emery, S.J. Merit Law Scholarship. She was also recognized with the Exemplary Leadership Excellence Award, the Appellate Advocacy Steadfast Jurisprudence Award, and the Women & Law Scholarship. During law school, she served as President of the Chiefs in Intellectual Property (ChIPs) student chapter and as an Advisor for the Privacy Law Student Organization. She received her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
