Steven’s practice focuses on Professional Liability (with an emphasis in accountancy and legal malpractice), Employment (litigation, including single-plaintiff, wage & hour, and PAGA claims, administrative investigations, including with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”), the California Civil Rights Department (“CRD”) and the California Department of Industrial Relations (“DIR”), and counseling), Business and Commercial, and General Liability matters. Steven is a seasoned litigator with an eye for strategic risk assessment, and strives to prevent, minimize, or eliminate his clients’ potential liability exposure from the onset. He is well versed in all aspects of civil litigation and handles matters from inception through trial.
Steven was born in Whittier, California. He graduated cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Minor in English. In 2010, he obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. While at Hastings, Steven was the Executive Internal Editor of the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly Journal for which he authored Accounting for the Lack of Accountability: the Great Depression Meets the Great Recession, 37 HSTCLQ 409 (2009). Steven was also a member of the Rendigs Moot Court Competition Team.
