Vanessa is an associate in Murphy Pearson’s San Francisco office whose practice focuses on tax and professional liability matters. She brings a strong background in complex tax planning and advisory work, particularly involving high-net-worth individuals and closely held entities.
Prior to joining the firm, Vanessa worked at a large accounting firm where she advised ultra-high-net-worth individuals, trusts and estates, and closely held businesses on sophisticated tax matters. In that role, she gained hands-on experience implementing wealth planning strategies for founders of established companies and clients with significant real estate investments.
Vanessa earned her J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco. While in law school, she participated in several clinical programs, including the Medical-Legal Partnership Clinic, where she worked on estate planning matters, and the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic, assisting clients with tax controversies and compliance issues.
