MPBF Welcomes Three New Associates

MPBF today announced the additions of attorneys Tony S. Mekari, Stephanie Roque-Hurtado and Aman K. Joea to the San Francisco and Sacramento offices.

An associate in the San Francisco office, Tony counsels individuals and businesses in all aspects of general civil litigation, business disputes and white collar criminal defense. He advises clients involved in civil, criminal and administrative investigations by California and Federal agencies. In law school, Tony was inducted into the Order of Barristers and externed for two federal judges in California: Honorable John A. Mendez and Honorable Troy L. Nunley. Tony received his B.A. from UC Berkeley and was a four-year starter on the football team. He was recognized by the PAC-12 and UC Berkeley for his academic and athletic achievements, including being named the UC Berkeley Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Stephanie is a litigation associate practicing out of Murphy Pearson’s San Francisco office. She counsels clients in a wide variety of matters relating to professional liability and civil litigation. While attending law school, Stephanie interned for the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California (Honorable Haywood S. Gilliam), the United States Patent & Trademark Office and the ACLU of Northern California. As a student, Stephanie was an editor on the University of San Francisco Law Review and a member of Moot Court.

Based in Murphy Pearson’s Sacramento office, Aman is a litigation associate whose practice areas include professional liability, employment law, medical malpractice, real estate, and general business litigation. Aman received her B.A. from the University of California, San Diego graduating magna cum laude and received the Ann Craig Award for Scholarship, Leadership and Service. She received her J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. Prior to joining the firm, Aman gained extensive experience in civil defense, business immigration law, and at the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.
