Murphy Pearson recently welcomed three associates to the firm’s San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Seattle offices.
Annie Austrian is a tax litigation associate based out of San Francisco. She has experience representing businesses and individuals in state and local tax controversies before the California Office of Tax Appeals and the Franchise Tax Board. Annie received her B.A. from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law. During law school, Annie was the president of the Students of Tax and Estate Planning Law Society. As a law student, she interned at a tax firm where she assisted with audit defense, legal research, and drafting protests involving complex tax issues.
A litigation associate practicing out of Murphy Pearson’s Los Angeles office, Gabriella Edelman graduated from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, where she earned her J.D. cum laude and earned CALI awards in Copyright and Criminal Law. During law school, Gabi focused on emerging industries, including crypto-native corporate law, and gained experience supporting startups, nonprofits, and vulnerable populations through legal clinics and internships. Her background reflects a strong commitment to innovation, advocacy, and client-focused service.
Meliha Jusupovic is an associate in the firm’s Seattle office. Licensed in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska, Meliha has experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in high stakes matters across maritime, personal injury, insurance, and commercial disputes. She earned her B.A. from University of Washington and her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law.
