MPBF Attorney Mariah Cooks Named President of the Charles Houston Bar Association

Murphy, Pearson, Bradley & Feeney is incredibly proud to congratulate our own Mariah Cooks on her installation as President of the Charles Houston Bar Association at their 70th Annual Gala!

Mariah brings exceptional leadership, passion, and purpose to this historic role. Under her presidency, CHBA will honor the legacy of Charles Hamilton Houston—”The Man Who Killed Jim Crow”—by continuing to use the law as a tool for justice and equality, with a core focus on mentorship and pipeline development to ensure the next generation of lawyers has the guidance and support they need to thrive.

We’re also proud to celebrate Director Ebony Koger, who will serve as MCLE Chair, and Shareholder Arthur Harris, who will serve as Budget Chair for 2026. Together, they exemplify our firm’s commitment to leadership, service, and advancing justice in our communities.

As Charles Houston famously said: “A lawyer is either a social engineer or he is a parasite on society.” We’re honored to support leaders like Mariah, Ebony, and Arthur as they mentor the next generation and continue to be social engineers for positive change.
