MPBF closed out 2025 with the addition of three new associates: Shania Ali, Priyanka Sen, and Thomas Tuon.
Shania Ali counsels clients in a variety of matters including professional liability, personal injury and insurance defense. Shania received her B.A. from UC Berkeley and her J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. During law school, Shania was the research editor for the Loyola Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review, served as Co-President of the South Asian Law Students Association, and was the founding Vice President of the Muslim Law Students Association.
Priyanka Sen‘s practice focuses on a variety of matters relating to professional liability, and all forms of civil litigation. Priyanka graduated magna cum laude from UC Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) and is a part of the Order of the Coif. While in law school, Priyanka participated in the Startup Legal Garage where she provided patent-related legal services to biotechnology startups. Additionally, she externed for the Honorable Justice Danny Y. Chou at the California Court of Appeal, First District.
Thomas Tuon advises clients primarily on intellectual property transactions, data privacy counseling, and professional liability and taxation litigation. Before joining the firm, Thomas worked as an intellectual property paralegal for an Am Law 100 firm, where he gained hands-on experience with patent litigation and IP portfolio management. During and after law school, he worked with a global tax practice advising on multistate apportionment, gross receipts tax, and compliance strategies for companies spanning technology, sports, and financial services industries.
